Recently on November 8, 2024, the new executive board of the Police Chief's Association of Will County was sworn in by the Honorable Judge Arkadiusz "Art" Smigielski with over 80 guests in attendance.
The 2025 executive board consists of President, Robert "Butch" Dykstra who is chief of the Rockdale Police Department; Vice President John Arizzi who is commander of the Lockport Police Department; Secretary Leanne Chelepis, who is chief of the Frankfort Police Department; Treasurer Jason Opiola who is deputy chief of the Crest Hill Police Department, and Sergeant at Arms, Brandon Campbell who is chief of the Joliet Junior College Police Department.
President Dykstra spoke about his appreciation for everyone who has supported himself, the executive board members, the entire association over the last 4 years that he has been on the executive board, and for the continued support moving forward.
President Dykstra spoke about his goal of obtaining a new plaque listing the names of each of the past presidents of the association, with hopes of placing it in the lobby of the new Will County Courthouse.
President Dykstra also expressed he wanted to expand the annual scholarship awards' financial impact by seeking a partnership with a business or organization within Will County.
